One of my favorites, from the conidae family. This is the 'general.' Scientific Name: Conus Generalis, authored by Linne in 1758. This cone has countless variations, making it one of the most favorite cone species of collectors. This one is caught by fishermen using nets off Albay Gulf Philippines on December 2009.

Just finished taking pictures of this lovely Angaria Vicdani, this lovely sea creature measures 70mm (2.76 inches) and weighs approximately 55 grams. Named after a Filipino-Chinese businessman and an avid seashell collector Mr. Victor Dan and described by Mr. S. Kosuge in 1980. This particular creature was caught by fishermen using tangle nets set at 150 meters deep off Balut Island, Mindanao Philippines on September 2009.
